Alcohol Dependence, Addiction and Binge Drinking
Has your drinking got out of control?
Do you think that you are a Binge Drinker? do you feel that alcohol is ruling
The NHS definition of binge drinking is drinking lots of alcohol in a short
space of time or drinking to get drunk or feel the effects of alcohol.
Alcohol abuse and related issues are one of the most common problems that
clients come to see me about. If you are a binge drinker or perhaps you feel
that your drinking has got out of control, you may feel that you are
addicted to alcohol. Perhaps you want to give up alcohol completely or want to
be able to enjoy a drink socially as any normal drinker does, then Hypnotherapy
could help you.
Working together we should be able to reprogram your mind to learn how to
have just one or two drinks to enjoy yourself and then be able to easily stop
drinking alcohol, changing to your favourite soft drink, or help you to stop
drinking alcohol for good, the choice is yours. I use a combination of
Hypnotherapy (suggestion) and
NLP or BWRT®
to re programme your mind enabling you to
have control over how much alcohol you drink.
What I need from you is your Commitment and Motivation to succeed.
Do any of these
situations seem familiar to you?
- Do you behave badly, aggressively when drinking?
- Are you worried about alcohol related illness?
- Are you gaining weight from drinking too much alcohol?
- Does alcohol affect your sporting performance?
- Is there any peer pressure to drink alcohol?
- Do you drink just to get drunk?
- Is alcohol affecting your relationships? Your sex life?
- How much are you spending on alcohol? Can you remember what you did last
night? If you can are you embarrassed?
- Once you start drinking you don't know when to stop?
- Do you need alcohol to help with confidence?
I have seen clients who were worried, distressed and scared as they cannot
remember what they did the previous evening. There are instances where clients
have passed out on trains, ending up at the end of the line, anything could have
happened, luckily nothing did but it was a wake-up call and also very expensive
as they had to get home in the small hours. This hits very hard as they realise
that their drinking is way out of control.
Clients have told me that they can quite easily spend a few hundred pounds
over a binge drinking weekend, with very little to show for it apart from an
empty purse and a headache. I could go on but if you drink, some of this may
already be familiar to you.

it controlling you then give me a call on 07702684568
During the Sessions?
Firstly there is your FREE initial consultation (which lasts about 30 -45
minutes) we can find out more about what you hope to gain from therapy, how long
you have had the problem and how it affects you.. You will also be able to get a
better understanding of hypnotherapy, BWRT® and how you may benefit. I will be able to
answer any questions and ease any doubts you might still have allowing you to
make an informed decision about whether to proceed with therapy. At the end of
the consultation, there is absolutely no obligation to continue.
If you decide to continue then sessions are tailored to suit you and vary
from client to client. How many sessions will depend on the individual client,
sometimes it can take only 1 or 2 others may take more The length of each is
approximately 1 hour.
The First Session
The first session will be looking at your reasons for drinking, how long, how
much, social influences etc. also if you are looking to give up alcohol for good
or still be able to drink sensibly. We will look for the root of why you are
drinking which will give you a much better chance of success, as will your
obvious motivation, you wouldn’t be reading this if you weren’t! We also need
commitment, you have mine, how about you?
We may have to look into any self-esteem or confidence issues separately but
these will become apparent as we progress.
Subsequent sessions will generally consist of being placed into hypnosis,
perhaps with some gentle music in the background, and then you will be helped to
resolve your problem by retraining your thinking about the way you handle your
alcohol consumption. I normally use a combination of Hypnotherapy (suggestion)
and NLP which I have found to be very effective. During the relaxed state, by
using beneficial and positive suggestions you should be able to strengthen and
visualise your desired outcome, helping you to control your alcohol intake or
leave alcohol and binge drinking in the past.
I charge £70 per session . For some clients two or three sessions have been enough to
stop the binge drinking and considerably reduce alcohol consumption.
If we decide to use BWRT® (which
does not use trance work), I will explain the process to you so you can make an
